BMX Frame

BMX Bike Frame
Drop-outs
Drop-outs are the flat pieces of metal that the wheels fasten to. They are at the end of the fork and at the very back if the bike.
Bottom Bracket
The bottom bracket piece for the crank goes into the bottom bracket. It holds on to the crank. They come sealed and unsealed.
U-brake Mount
U-brake mounts are the short tubes on the fork or back of the frame. A u-brake needs these to be mounted.
Dropout Protectors
Dropout protectors are thick pieces of metal that you put on the inside of your axle nuts or pegs. They strengthen your dropouts so they don’t crack as easily.
Chain Tensioners
Chain tensioners go on your axle. They wrap around the back of the frame. As you tighten screws on them, your chain is pulled tighter.
Sprocket Guard / Grind Disc
A sprocket guard or grind disc fastens to your sprocket, and it protects your sprocket when grinding. If you miss a grind or feel like grinding on your sprocket, it will prevent your sprocket from bending.
